The shift to "Amethystia" symbolizes a lot to me. She is the return to deviantART; she is the return of my creative spirit that I'd lost/ignored/abandoned. She is the return of motivation and perseverance. The return of enthusiasm, of life-loving beauty, of simple joys. The return of old times; the return of old songs, friends, and memories.

Well, I hope.
It won't happen overnight, but I need this part of my spirit back before it dies out entirely.

It took me so long to decide what to submit to my gallery, because I was holding onto the notion that every post here has to be outstanding and meaningful. It doesn't, it just has to be something. Beginning is often the hardest part. But once I start adjusting, I'll be able to really get into it and I'll replace these starting photos with something more expressive of my own true self. It's easy to write over.

I'm just going to throw some stuff in the gallery (and for my avatar) to help break the feeling of needing to start from clean perfection.
